3D Real-Time Interactive Visualisation of EEG Data (2014)



The aim of the project is to create an anatomically realistic 3D brain visualisation showing real-time activity from EEG data. Each colour depicts electrical voltage detected from multiple sources of activity inside of the brain from signals measured at electrodes positioned on the head. The application allows the user to fly through the brain in a “game like” fashion and is fully interactive. The application was done for the W Science Foundation, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and NeuroPro AG, Zurich and demonstrated at the Brain Forum-Jeddah 2013.
Technology: Based on the research and development of Dr. Pablo de Heras Ciechomski, this Cloud based data solution streams EEG data and transforms it into a 3D volumetric visualisation on the client platform (Windows and Mac).
