ISREC - Translational Cancer Research (2012)
This video describes one of the many approaches of translational cancer research that is being performed at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC) at EPFL. It also describes the main hallmarks of cancer and shows a hypothetical drug delivery process, by encapsulating the pharmacological payload in a nano-scale robot. It is based on the scientific findings of Prof. Douglas Hanahan and his team.
Technology: Our in-house ray tracing and simulation engine BioInspire (written from scratch in C/C++) was used to create models, animations, renderings and special effects. Music was specially composed for the movie.
